1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and PixelNova (“PixelNova,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Sacred Bible: Daily Scripture Android application, this legal website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By installing, accessing, purchasing through, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. App-store or consumer terms that cannot legally be excluded also apply.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. The Services are not directed to children under 13 or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant country.

3. Your right to use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use the App on Android devices that you own or control, solely for lawful, personal, non-commercial use.

You may not copy, sell, rent, distribute, publicly host, reverse engineer, bypass security or payment controls, extract content in bulk, or create a competing service from the App, except where applicable law expressly permits an activity that cannot be restricted by contract.

4. Bible, devotional, Quiz, and spiritual content

The Services provide Bible translations, reading plans, reflections, prayers, reminders, generated or curated devotional material, and educational Quiz questions. These features are intended to support personal faith and learning. They do not represent individualized pastoral counseling or the official position of every church, denomination, ministry, or Bible publisher.

Translations and interpretations can differ. Please consult your preferred Bible edition, faith community, pastor, or another qualified source when a question matters to your beliefs or circumstances. We may correct, revise, or remove content, including questions or devotional text, when we identify an error.

5. Reminders, overlays, and audio reading

Prayer and Scripture reminders are optional. Android power management, network conditions, device settings, or permissions may delay or prevent delivery. Do not rely on reminders for emergencies, medication, safety, or any time-critical task.

If you enable “Display over other apps,” Sacred Bible may show a visible prayer card over another app at a scheduled prayer time. You can revoke this permission at any time in Android settings. This feature is not used to display advertising over other apps.

Audio reading uses an Android text-to-speech engine. Pronunciation, voice availability, pacing, and accuracy depend partly on the engine and language installed on your device.

6. Advertising and Sacred Bible Plus

Free service and advertising

All reading, prayer, plan, audio, and Quiz functionality is available without payment. The free experience may display ads. Ad format, frequency, and availability may change, subject to law and the commitments in our Privacy Policy.

Optional ad-free subscription

Sacred Bible Plus is an optional subscription that removes ads while active. Product price, billing period, trial availability, and other offer details are shown in Google Play before purchase and may vary by country or offer.

• Payment is charged through your Google Play account when the purchase is confirmed.
• A recurring subscription automatically renews unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period under the timing shown by Google Play.
• You can manage or cancel through Google Play’s subscription settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Google Play handles payment processing and refund eligibility under its terms and applicable law.
• If a payment is pending, fails, is refunded, or the subscription expires, ad-free access may be delayed, suspended, or end.

Nothing in these Terms limits cancellation, cooling-off, refund, or other mandatory consumer rights available where you live.

7. Your notes and shared content

You retain any rights you have in original notes you write in the App. The App stores those notes locally and does not provide a Sacred Bible account or publisher-operated cloud sync. You are responsible for maintaining device backups you consider appropriate and for content you choose to send through Android’s share sheet.

Do not use the Services to create, store, or share content that is unlawful or violates another person’s rights. A destination app or backup provider has its own terms and privacy practices.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Services unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm another person;
• interfere with the Services, introduce malicious code, or attempt unauthorized access;
• circumvent subscriptions, ads, consent mechanisms, technical limits, or security features;
• use automated tools to scrape, download, or reproduce Scripture, Quiz, devotional, photo, or app content in bulk without permission;
• misrepresent an affiliation with PixelNova or Sacred Bible; or
• use content in a way that violates its applicable copyright, attribution, share-alike, or other license terms.

9. Third-party services

The Services rely on or link to Google Play, Google advertising and consent services, Firebase, Unsplash, Cloudflare, Android text-to-speech providers, and other platform services. Their separate terms and policies govern their services. We are not responsible for a third party’s content, availability, security, or conduct to the extent permitted by law.

10. Intellectual property and Bible translations

Except for third-party or user-owned material, PixelNova and its licensors own the App’s software, branding, interface, arrangement, devotional material, Quiz presentation, and related content. “Sacred Bible,” the logo, and associated design elements may not be used to imply endorsement without permission.

Individual Bible translations remain governed by their respective public-domain status or licenses. Included editions may include public-domain works and Creative Commons-licensed works that require attribution or share-alike treatment. Public-domain status can vary by territory, including possible Crown rights in certain King James Version distributions. Translation notices supplied in the App or project attribution materials form part of these Terms. You are responsible for confirming the applicable rights before redistributing Scripture text outside normal personal use.

11. Service changes and termination

We may update, correct, add, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services. We do not promise that every feature, photo, language pack, voice, purchase offer, or third-party service will always be available. Where reasonably practical, we will avoid materially reducing a paid benefit during an active period without an appropriate remedy required by law.

We may suspend access if you materially violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, or misuse the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The Services are not emergency, medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. If you face an emergency or may harm yourself or another person, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional immediately.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In that case, the exclusions apply only to the extent legally permitted.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PixelNova and its affiliates, officers, employees, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, goodwill, profits, or opportunity; or damages arising from reliance on reminders, devotional content, third-party services, or unavailable features.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability arising from the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us through Google Play for the Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US $25. This limit does not apply where prohibited, including liability that cannot be limited for fraud, willful misconduct, death, personal injury, or mandatory consumer protections.

14. Governing law and disputes

Except where the mandatory law of your residence provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable at PixelNova’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts with jurisdiction there will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this section does not remove mandatory rights or your ability to bring a claim in a court available under applicable consumer law.

Before filing a formal claim, please contact us and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the concern informally.

15. General terms

If one provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as needed or severed, and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of the Services, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, purchase disclosures, and any mandatory app-store terms are the entire agreement regarding the Services. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where reasonably required. Continuing to use the Services after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
