Privacy Policy

1. Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how PixelNova (“PixelNova,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Sacred Bible: Daily Scripture Android application (the “App”) or visit this legal website (together, the “Services”).

The App is a Bible reading, devotional, prayer, reminder, reading-plan, audio, and Bible Quiz experience. It does not require you to register an account with us.

2. Information the Services handle

Information stored by the App on your device

The App stores the following information locally so its features work and your progress can continue between sessions:

• selected language, Bible translation, appearance, font, line-spacing, narrator voice, and speech-speed preferences;
• reading position and history, saved verses, highlights, and notes you write;
• reading-plan progress, completed readings, reading streak dates, prayer completion history, and Bible Quiz progress;
• reminder choices, consumed reminder identifiers, subscription entitlement status, advertising frequency information, and experiment assignments; and
• a randomly generated installation identifier used to keep local app behavior consistent.

We do not operate an account server that receives your notes, highlights, prayer history, or detailed reading history. Android backup may include some locally stored preferences and user-created content in your Google device backup if backup is enabled on your device. Google controls that backup service.

Information processed when online services are used

Google Play processes payments. We do not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details.

3. How information is used

Information is used to:

• provide Bible reading, saved content, plans, prayers, reminders, audio reading, language packs, Quiz progress, and other requested features;
• remember your settings and restore eligible purchases;
• show ads to free users and manage consent or privacy options;
• understand general App usage, diagnose reliability issues, prevent abuse or fraud, and improve the Services;
• comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service; and
• respond when you contact us.

Depending on where you live and the activity involved, processing may be based on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services, your consent, or compliance with legal obligations.

4. Advertising and third-party services

We do not sell your personal notes or reading history. We use the following providers, which may process information under their own privacy policies:

• Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — to obtain advertising consent where required and deliver, limit, and measure ads. Depending on your choices and region, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
• Google Firebase Analytics — to collect basic app usage, device, and performance-related information and help us understand how the App is used.
• Google Play Billing — to display subscription offers, process purchases, verify entitlement, and restore purchases.
• Google Play feature delivery — to download optional language-specific Scripture resources when you request them.
• Unsplash — to provide rotating background photographs. Requesting an image can disclose network information such as your IP address and user agent to Unsplash.
• Cloudflare — to host, deliver, secure, and cache this legal website. Cloudflare may process request and security-log data.
• Your Android text-to-speech provider — to read Scripture and devotional content aloud. Processing behavior depends on the speech engine you select or have installed.

5. Android permissions

The App may request or use these permissions only for the purposes below:

• Notifications — to show prayer and Scripture reminders you enable.
• Display over other apps — to show the optional “Connect With God” prayer reminder card at scheduled times. This permission is optional and is not used to place advertisements over other apps.
• Exact alarms — to deliver enabled reminders closer to your selected schedule. Without it, reminders may arrive later.
• Foreground service — to support the optional visible reminder card while it is being displayed.
• Run after restart — to restore reminders you previously enabled after the device restarts or the time zone changes.
• Internet and network state — to load ads and background images, communicate with Google Play, obtain consent, and download optional language resources.

The App does not request access to your precise location, contacts, camera, or microphone.

6. Your choices and controls

• Ad privacy: open Me → Ad privacy choices in the App when the option is available for your region. You can also manage or reset the Android advertising identifier in device settings.
• Ad-free subscription: an active Sacred Bible Plus subscription removes advertising. Other App features remain available without a subscription.
• Reminders: turn reminders off in Me, or revoke notifications, display-over-other-apps, or alarm access in Android settings.
• Sharing: sharing a verse opens Android’s system share sheet. The destination app you choose processes what you share under its own policy.
• Text to speech: choose or disable audio reading through the App and your Android speech settings.

7. Retention and deletion

Locally stored App information remains until you remove it, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App. Some information may remain in an Android cloud backup until that backup is replaced or deleted under your Google account settings.

Because Sacred Bible has no user account, we generally cannot identify or remotely delete information held only on your device. To delete it, use Android Settings → Apps → Bible → Storage & cache → Clear storage, or uninstall the App. Third-party providers retain information according to their own settings, legal obligations, and retention policies.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal information we control, and to withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to your local data-protection authority.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. We may need enough information to verify and respond to a request. For data controlled directly by Google, Unsplash, Cloudflare, your text-to-speech provider, or another third party, contact that provider.

9. Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant country. We do not knowingly request names, email addresses, or other direct contact information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.

10. Security and international transfers

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Services. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Third-party providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, those providers and we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and safeguards. Mandatory privacy rights in your country remain unaffected.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where reasonably required.
